About Women of Romania 2018
#PressForProgress
The second edition of Women of Romania was a one day event dedicated to bringing into spotlight inspiring Romanian female figures with a great entrepreneurial mindset. The event wass part of the 2018’s International Woman Day campaign, #PressForProgress and brought together more than 150 entrepreneurs and business leaders for one day of inspiration, panels, showcases and smart interactions. As we do at every edition, we encouraged diversity and invited both women and men to participate and be active supporters of Women of Romania.

Context
With the World Economic Forum’s 2017 Global Gender Gap Report findings telling us that gender parity is over 200 years away – there has never been a more important time to keep motivated and #PressforProgress. And while we know that gender parity won’t happen overnight, the good news is that across the world women are making positive gains day by day.
We are confident that this initiative will encourage a change in this matter, and by promoting the great values of our country we will empower the Romanian women take bold actions and make positive changes for themselves, their communities, and for the economy.
